Clara Florence said that she lived w/her family for 4 yrs before she died.(1957)

Jefferson Benjamin Echols could be Benjamin J Echols (7yr) in the 1870 census at Benjamin and Annetta. But then in 1880 he should be 17yr but there is a Jefferson age 10??

Clara Florence said that he had his eye put out by a branch that hit him when he was running though the bush for his moonshine.

Obit*87yrs of 3605 Hardy, died at his residence at 1:15am Thursday. He was a member of Morris Chapel Methodist Ch of Van Zandt Co. Survivors are his wife, Mrs Annie Laura Echols;son E.H. Echols of Houston; three daughters Mrs. Minnie Cole of Graham. Mrs Myrtle Collins of New London, Mrs.Lola Humphreys of Lancaster, Cal; 27 grand children. Services in Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30pm Friday with Rev. Paul Brumlow officiating. Pallbearer: Bill Collins, Louis Collins, Richard Cole, Bud Hargrave, Leslie Mills, and C.A. Gage. Burial in Genoa Cemetery at Genoa.

9-25-04 Tippy said that they said he saw it coming. He was talking to death at the end of his bed before he died.
