Facts and Events
JEAN (or did he go by Heinrich?) is not in the list of burials at St. John's Church Cemetery, where his wife is buried. Besides his wife, there are two other Wasem burials listed at that cemetery. Perhaps he is buried at the cemetery in Ragersville, as that was once a German Reformed cemetery? There is a village of DORNBACH about a mile southwest of Rockenhausen in the Palatinate. Is this the village where Jean was born? --White Creek 00:04, 2 December 2012 (EST) An update on "JEAN" and the Palatine people with whom he associated. "White Creek" now has the names of 33 related people, who are associated with RAGERSVILLE in some way! Six of them are of his same surname. Seven with the MAURER surname. Three have the PERSHING surname. --White Creek 04:32, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
A John Ridenour has written a book entitled: "The Wasem family history and genealogy". According to "WorldCat", only 2 copies (2009) are in libraries: The New York Public Library, and the Spokane Public Library. While the NY Library link is a mystery, some of the descendants of JEAN did migrate on to Spokane, Washington.
