Jean M. (Schaffer) Lauchnor, 86, formerly of Schnecksville, died Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall where she had been residing. She was the wife of the late Clark H. Lauchnor. Born in Allentown, August 28, 1924, Jean was the daughter of the late Charles and Hannah (Roth) Schaffer. She was employed as a bookkeeper at The Neffs National Bank for 20 years before retiring in 1986. Jean was a member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville, where she served formerly served as treasurer and participated in the quilting group. She was a member of the Schnecksville Grange # 1684.
Survivors: Son, Karl C. Lauchnor and his wife, Ramona, of Schnecksville; daughter, Susan J. Rinehimer and her husband, Craig, of Macungie; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren. Service: Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 29, 2010 at Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5500 Route 873, Schnecksville with the Rev. Virginia A. Goodwin officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday in the church.
Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.
