    Wm McKee and Jean Kenady applied for a Rockbridge Co., VA marriage bond, bondsman: Arthur Walkup, witnesses: Jos Kenady and Wm Kenady; brides father Andrew Kenady, dated 18 Jan 1790. Date of marriage is not listed.

    They had 2 children, James and Margaret.

    James married Mrs. Rachel Wilson Moffett, the daughter of David and Ellen Wilson of Walkers Cree, VA. They had 2 children: James Moffett McKee and Ellen Jane McKee, AKA Mrs. Alex Smiley and second Mrs. John A.R. Varner.

    Margaret K. McKee married John Carson and had many children.

    The McKees of Virginia and Kentucky, by George Wilson McKee, Published 1891 by J. B. Richards in Pittsburgh says he is buried here. " All that is earthly of William McKee and his wife, Jean Kennedy, lies buried in New Providence Church graveyard."

    Need some other proof of their burial here. She is not listed in existing surveys of this cemetery in the 1900's. Suspect NO MARKER.
