Might have died of a stroke.

Roland's obituary lists a son named J.V. Another article cites Roland's son Vandon. Eleas' obituary lists him as Vandyn.

Also from Norma, "There is some question about Uncle Vandon's correct name. I always thought his first name was John. Aunt Geraldine told me his name on his headstone is Jean Lee Vandon Davis. I have been to the cemetery a number of times where several of the Davis family are buried but I don't recall how his name is on his headstone. I am going to Orange tomorrow and again on Monday. I hope to have time to check on it then. I do have a census print-out that shows his name as Lee Vandon Davis. He was 10 years old in the 1910 census. in Louisiana. I also forgot to tell you that he never had any children that I know of. He was the 1st child born to Roland William Davis and Elizabeth Marie Guidry Davis."
