Questionable Information Found
This is a speculative identification. The wife of Orville Hillis is named as a sister of Percy Arnold in his obituary. Her birth in 1922 (according to Social Security) would precede the death of her mother by 2 years, followed by son Percy being the only child living with the father in 1930 census. Thus it is very likely she was adopted, presumably by the Andersons, a otherwise childless couple who married around 1901 (married 9 years per 1910 census). However, all other records than the obit list Orville Hillis' wife's name as Anderson.
