Daily Times-News, The Thursday, January 17, 1974 JAY Ivan Nuckols.. 58. of Danville" Va., died Tuesday in a Danville hospital following a heart attack. A graduate of Elon College, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs.. Joseph NUCKOLS, and was personnel manager and safety engineer for Thompson Arthur Paving Company in Danville, where he had lived since 1952. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Ascension, Roanoke Valley Power Squadron and the Danville Society of Engineers and Sciences. Survivors are his wife, Mrs.. lone Graves Nuckols; daughters. Mrs.. Robert Byrd. Danville, Va.. Mrs.. Homer Greeson, Greensboro: son. J.I. Nuckols Jr... Danville. Va.; brother, Lt. NUCKOLS. Tucson, Ariz.: 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Final rites will be 2 P.M. Friday at Townes Memorial Chapel in Danville. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
