QUAY 3 Mrs. McPeak, age 66, passed away Sunday afternoon at Bay Regional Medical Center. Janet was born on March 21, 1938 in Midland to the late Lyle and Clara (Krause) Wilt. She graduated from Handy High Sc hool in 1956 and married Edmund Wright, the father of her three children. Janet married George R. McPeak on October 15, 1977. She worked for several years as a secretary for the Michigan Department o f Social Services and at the Bay County Building. Janet later became a certified ceramic teacher and operated "Jan's Tranquility Base" from her home for several years.
Surviving family include her husband, George and three children: Tammy (James) Martin of Lake, Michigan, James (Kelly) Wright of Henderson, Nevada and Michael (Darlyne) Wright of Madison Heights, Mich igan. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Andy Gaudard and Jessica, Brittany and Dylan Wright, and a brother, William (Bernadine) Wilt of Midland, Michigan.
Funeral and committal services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Penzien-Steele Funeral Home. Rev. Fr. Charles L. Ganley officiating. Private burial will take place in Oak Ridge Cemetery. V isitation hours are from 1 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home and after 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Bay Medical Foundation.
