    24 Mar 1927.

At her home in Neepawa, on Thursday, May 19, Janet Brydon, wife of James Dark, aged 74 years and 3 months. Funeral service was held in the United Church on Saturday afternoon at 2:30, interment being made in Riverside cemetery.
The late Mrs. Dark came west in1881 from Galt, Ont., to join her sister Mrs. D. McLaren, who had preceded her about four years, and married in 1882. Mr. and Mrs. Dark resided in Union settlement until 1913 when they went to Vancouver where they spent a year, and then took up residence in Neepawa, which has been their home since that time. Mrs. Dark had been an invalid for twelve years, but always pleasant and cheerful. Signs of a break-up began a week ago and the end was not long delayed. Besides her husband, Mrs. Dark leaves one son, Geo. Dark of Franklin.
