[edit] NotesSome sources claim that Jane Mitchell's name was "America Jane Mitchell", but there do not seem to be any sources to prove this. It may have been a nickname added to her by some descendants.
Samuel Doak Sr. was born about 1700 in Antrim Co., Ulster Provence, N. IRL. He immigrated in 1740. He died before 19 May 1772 in Augusta Co., VA. He will was proven on 19 May 1772 in Augusta Co., VA. He was married to America Jane Mitchell (daughter of Thomas Mitchell and Eleanor (?)) about 1740 in Chester Co., PA. America Jane Mitchell was born about 1711 in N. IRL. She immigrated in 1740. She died after 1772 in Augusta Co., VA. Jane's father MAY possibly be Thomas Mitchell, but not proven, need further research.
