Listed in the 1840 Tishomingo County, Mississippi Census in the H. Day household as 1 female age 10-14.

Information comes from Doris Ross Johnston on the internet at outahere@@juno.com. According to my own census record research, I don't believe this is our Jane, whom I have listed as being born 2 years later than this girl. However, Doris's information only shows 11 children, whereas I came up with 12, using census records from 1830-1850. I'm not sure whether this is our Jane, and the other girl listed in census records died young, but it seems like Doris would have had that information. Perhaps this is not our family after all? Very odd coincidence if they're not.
