City at the close of the Revolutionary War, to Halifax, N. S. with his wife, Mary, and his children, Mary Hannah Jane, and John Miller. I have heard him spoken of as a man of great capabilities. He built up a large business, lived in affluence a number of years, gave his children a good education. He was a good Christian man doing good, not only in his own gousehold, but visiting the sick and poor in the place where he lived, those who belonged to the same Church as he did, and those who belonged to no Church. Praying with them and for them, trying to do all good, Apiritual or temporal. When God called him he was ready, and passed away in the Triumphant Faith of God, through Jesus Christ, in the year of our Lord, 1792, in Shelbourn, Nova Scotia. - Jane D.
