WILSON.
JAMES was a native of New Boston, where he was born in 1770, and rem. here about 1794, settling on a farm west of Stow Mountain. He was an active and energetic man, who possessed the esteem and confidence of his fellow-townsmen in an iminent decree. He was Justice of the Peace, Town Clerk from 1816 to 1822, Selectman from 1812 to 1822 and represented the town in the Legislature for ten successive years, 1812 to 1822; he m. Dec. 31, 1793, Margaret McClure, of Deering, who d. Feb. 14, 1832, aged 60 years; he d. Feb. 20, 1836, aged 66 years.
