Might be in an unmarked grave in Evergreen Cemetery in Ontario. I do not have dates to verify that the James Franklin Westfall that is buried there is this man but it most probably is.

    Extract-planitiff is a resident and inhabitant of Grant Co. State of Oregon and has been such resident and inhabitant of said County and State ever since the year 1878.

    That there are now living the issue of said marriage:
    Ida Westfall a daughter aged about 12 years;
    Oscar Westfall a son aged about nine years;
    Ada Westfall a daughter aged about eight years and
    James Westfall a son aged five years.

    That in the month of February 1883 in said County and State the defendant without just cause and without the consent of planitiff wilfully deserted and abandoned planitiff and said youngest child, taking with him the said three elder children. Reference number: DVOR002
