Obituary per Find A Grave

James Lee Welker, 32, of Elida Route 1, was pronounced dead at 6:10 p.m. Saturday on arrival at St. Rita's hospital, 15 minutes after his motorcycle skidded and overturned at the intersection of Route 30-S and Eastown-rd., three miles west of Lima.

Coroner Harry E. Lewis said that Welker died of a fractured skull and internal injuries.

Welker, a supervisor for the Wonder Bread Co., was a native of Delaware. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Mary Frances Welker; two children, James Richard and Dorothy Lee, both at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin H. Welker, 415 W. Spring-st., Lima, and one sister, Mrs. Ronald Cook, 979 1/2 W. High-st.

He was a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge at Elida and Lodge No. 205 F and A.M. which will conduct services at 8 p.m. Monday at the Davis-Miller and Son funeral home where final rites will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
