Vanbibber, James - born 5/8/1766 in Halifax County, Virginia; moved to settlement on Greenbrier River, virginia, with father, where soldier entered service 1781 in Virginia regiment in company of Captain John Vanbibber (no kinship given) against Shawnee Indians; applied for Pension 1833 in Callaway County, Missouri, resided Nine Mile Prairie Township, & Pension Application rejected.
