THESE NOTES ARE FROM ROBBIE WRIGHT - THIS MAY OR MAY NOT BE A BROTHER OF OUR ENOS S. TURNER "Well, I think I may have found another Turner child, of Brighton Twp, in Beaver Co in the 1850 Census, page 71b - Shows James Turner, age 26, farmer, born in Pa with wife Margaret, 20, born PA, son Christopher 3, born PA, daughter Mary J age 1, Born Pa and Franklin Richards 18 born PA.

Why I think this is another child of John and Martha(one of the older ones)_ is because James moved his family to Ohio, Yellow Creek Twp, around 1852, the same time John Turner's widow Martha moved there and they lived within a half a mile from one another. James and Margaret appear in the 1860 census in Ohio and had the following children: Christopher 13 (his full name was Christopher Columbus_, Mary 11, John 8, James 5 and Linda 1.

James Turner then establised his own slaughter house and butcher shop in Wellsville and then died 29 June 1873 at the age of 50 years, one month and 28 days of Consumption/ His birthplace was listed as Beaver City, which is exactly how Enos' birth place is listed in his Mexican War papers. No parents were listed. James willed the slaughter house to Christopher and James.

Christopher died 4 Dec 1890 at the age of 43 in Wellsville of consumption. He was born in Beaver Co and his parents were listed as James Turner and M (Hamilton) Turner.

The son James Turner appears in the 1880 census in Wellsville, Ohio as Jams Turner, Born in Ohio age 23 and a butcher.

My main reason for believing James is related to Martha and John is the fact that he had land 1/2 mile from Morths's land(Martha moved back to Beaver Co somewhere between the 1870 census and 1880 census to live with Cicero - maybe after James died) But I am also intrigued by the fact the both he and Enos were born in Beaver City within four years of each other and even though this may be conincidence, I'm also intrigued with the fact that James, like Enos, named a child after a famous person/ That was a fad back then, but it makes me wonder. Not hard cold fact, I know."
