TULLIS, James (Jim) A long time resident of Rancho Cordova passed away at home on December 14, 2005 after a 9 year battle with colon cancer. He was born in Lincoln, AK on July 20, 1933 and raised in Antioch, CA until joining the Air Force in 1952. On leaving the service Jim worked as Office Manager/timekeeper for F.L. Taylor Development, Co. He started his own business working until 1967 when he went back to Sacramento State College, majoring in Education. Jim will be remembered for his love of children. He spent 25 years as an elementary teacher for the Folsom Cordova Unified School District. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn; daughter, Caprice Martin of Auburn; son-in-law, Gary Martin; grandson, Eric Martin; and granddaughter, Keslie Martin of Reno; brothers, Gene Tullis and Ray Tullis of Antioch, their wives, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service Tuesday, December 20, 2005 at 3:00 P.M. at the United Methodist Church, 2101 Zinfandel Dr., Rancho Cordova. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sutter Medical Center Foundation-Cancer Center, 2800 L Street Ste. 620, Sacramento, CA 95816.
