The location of his grave is unknown. There is no evidence to support the claim that he was buried at Allendale Township Cemetery. The owner of this record was unable to recall the source of this information. Possibly it came from a notice published in a Ludington newspaper?

There are other examples of erroneous entries in the Allendale birth and death registry. Many entries were recorded a year or more after the reported events. Apparently some clerk would go through and log the events in batches, drawing from other records (and perhaps from the memories of individuals in the area).
