I will give you names and dates as I "know" them, in fact,I'm looking for the records to verify virtually all of the Canadian info. My 3ggrandfather James Stott was born in Lacolle,PQ 5/18/1804. His first wife was Phebe Knight,b<1805>Vermont,USA. She died in Lacolle 2/28/1843 and was buried 3/1/1843,St.John's. James died 5/18/1863 in Lacolle and is buried at Burtonville Cemetery. The only document I have come across that shows James in Canada is the 1851 census-it has him living in St. Valentin (dist 10) and gives his birthplace as Seigmura Delry. At the time of this census,I believe he is remarried to a Rebecca. Back to the union of James and Phebe. They had several children, definitely Joshua Horace b.9/1824,Mary b.1826,William B b.1828 and my 2grandmother, Elisabeth H. b.July 14,1833. I can find no record of their marriage or Elisabeth's birth.(The Church of England,Caldwell Manor PQ has been mentioned as the place of their marriage-but the given date is 12/1/1817--that would make James only 13 when married?!) One last record I'm looking for is a death cert for Phebe's father, Josiah Knight (b.11/22/1762 Norwich,CT,USA) and died Lacolle,PQ Canada in 1840. I sincerely appreciate any help that you may be able to provide--heading me in the right direction would be a great help. At your convenience, I look forward to hearing from you, Ruth
