James M. Stoneham of the United States Soldier's Home, Washington DC called on old friends and looked over scenend of his boyhood days in Emporium last week while enroute to Smethport to visit his mother. Mr. Stoneham is a veteran of the Spanish American Was, was a gaurd at the tomb of George Washington. He has earned permanent residence in Soldier's Home and has quarters in the Grant Building. This structure is the latest addition to the reservation, and is built of marble and contains the mess hass with a seating capacity of nine hundred.
