Mr. J. Marvin Stafford GRAHAM — Mr. J. Marvin “Bud” Stafford, 74, of 3531 Rogers Road, died at 7 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2001 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after several years of failing health, three days critical. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Mrs.. Brenda Sharpe Stafford, who survives, and the son of Carl and Julie Lindley Stafford, both deceased. He was a retired school bus mechanic with the Alamance County Schools and was a farmer. He was a member of Center United Methodist Church, and a member of the Mountainview Ruritan Club. Survivors other than his wife of the home, include two sons, Mr. Dan H. (Wanda H.) Stafford of Snow Camp, and Mr. Gary (Angie V.) Stafford of Apex; a sister, Mrs.. Margaret S. Thompson of Graham; three brothers, Mr. Everette Stafford, Mr. Kermit Stafford and Mr. Haldean Stafford, all of Graham; and four grandchildren, Mr. Brian (Shannon) Stafford, Miss Amy Stafford, Mr. Eric Stafford and Miss Linda Stafford. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel S. Hancock; and a brother, Jesse Stafford. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Center United Methodist Church by the Rev. Derik Davis, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times they will be at the residence.
