    James 'Jim' Lee Sollman died 24 Feb 2006 at Westpark Rehabilitation in Vanderburgh Co., IN

  2. James "Jim" Lee Sollman, 75, of Evansville, died 10:54 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2006, at Westpark Rehabilitation Center.

    He was a 1947 graduate of F. J. Reitz High School.

    He worked in construction for his father, who was a contractor and then entered the Army, serving in the Korean War.

    Jim was a member of Christ Lutheran Church for the past 25 years. He was a member of the Evansville Lodge A.F. & A.M. No. 64 and Scottish Rite.

    He worked for the Evansville-Vanderburgh School Corporation for many years in Maintenance and retired from there January 1993.

    Jim enjoyed making furniture for many years as a hobby. He enjoyed mowing his eight acres of yard and tending to his dog, Nugget.
    He was preceded in death by his father, George Sollman and mother, Glendola Sollman.

    Jim is survived by his wife of 26 years, Helen Roth Sollman of Evansville; son, Raymond Sollman of Raleigh, N.C., and son, Brian Sollman of Evansville. He is also survived by sister, Carla Noll of Raymond, Miss.; grandson, Jay Lee Sollman of Evansville; and two nephews.
    Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2006, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Associate in Ministry, Judy Atkins, with burial at Sunset Memorial Park. Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites at the cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, March 2, from 11 a.m. until service time at Alexander North Chapel.
