Catskill Mountain News, June 10, 1904 James A. Scott lnjured From the New Kingston correspondent James A Scott had the misfortune to fall from the root of the varanda while working at David Adee's last Friday. His left arm was broken near the wrist and he was badly bruised. Dr. Hood was called and made him ascomfortable as possible. He is confined to his bed but is thought to be improving.

James A. Scott. James A. Scott of New Kingston died suddenly at his home In that village at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. While he had been ill for some time he had been able to be around the village. A more extended notice will be given next week. The funeral services will be held today (Friday) In the New Kingston church at two o'clock In the afternoon.

Sept 15, 1916 James A. Scott. James A. Scott of New Kingston died suddenly at his home in that village on Wednesday, September 6. He was born In upper New Kingston In 1850 and had spent the greater part of his life In that village. He was a man of strong character and was highly esteemed by a large circle of friends. He had been in poor health for several months but was able to be around the village up to the day of his death. He is survived by his widow, who was Elmlra VanBenschoten, and one son, Gllfred A. of New Kingston. Also two sisters, Mrs. William Mussmann and Mrs. Mary Thomson and one brother. Dr. G. T . Scott of Bovina Center.

The funeral was held from the New Kingston church on Friday and was largely attended. interment was made in the New Kingston cemetery.
