James E. Sakers, Jr., 89, of Linthicum, passed away on May 25, 2016. He was born on May 20, 1927 in Baltimore. Mr. Sakers served in the US Navy for 20 years followed by his service and retirement from NSA as a Cryptologist. His interests included the Baltimore Orioles, radio and model trains. He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi C. Sakers and his son, James A. Sakers. He is survived by his two sons, David M. Sakers (Yvonne M.); and Donald P. Sakers (Thomas Atkinson); his dear grandchildren, Michael D. Sakers and Emily M. Sakers. The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Tuesday, May 31st from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Philip Neri Church on Wednesday at 10 AM. Interment Lorraine Park Cemetery. The family request memorial contributions to be made to a in Mr. Sakers memory.
