    Application for descendant of James Riggs, b. Oxford, CT 9 Nov 1758, died Lee, Oneida, NY, 22 Sep 1839.
    "James RIggs (1757-1839) served six months in the 2" Co 7" Connecticut Regiment under Col. Chas. Webb-July 20-Dec 21 1776. This regiment raised by the Connecticut Legislature at the July session 1775, was disbanded December 1775. Adopted as a Continental Regiment. James Riggs reinlisted, Apr. 6th 1777 in Humphrey Co., 6th Connecticut. Served three years, being discharged on April 6th 1780. He drew a pension."
