    Rev. J. H. Ricks
    Funeral services for the Rev. J. H. Ricks, 92, of Florien, were
    held Dec. 18, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, with the Revs. Avon
    Cavanaugh, and J. C. Edwards officiating. Burial was in the Mt.
    Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
    Home of Many. Pallbearers were Johnny Rhodes, Norman Dockens,
    George N. Addison, W. A. Ricks, Oscar Ricks, and Richard Lombard.

    The Rev. Ricks died Dec. 17, after an extended illness.

    Surviving relatives include five sons, Grady of Florien, J. W.
    of Nederland, Tex., J. C. of Maplewood, C. A of Boyce, and M. R.
    of Port Arthur, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Harvey Thomas, and Mrs.
    G. W. Addison, both of Florien; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great
    grandchildren
