9 Nov 1773: Bond of "Hannah Richardson of Woburn Widow", surety Jethro Richardson of Reading, to be guardian of "Ruhamah a Minor in the twelfth year of her age daughter of James Richardson late of s'd Woburn".
- There are three similar couples named James and Hannah Richardson:
Wife is Hannah Reed, of Woburn
Wife is Hannah House, of Leominster
Wife is Hannah Unknown, of Woburn
Vinton appears to confuse the three, probably because he seems unaware of the second couple. Without giving any evidence he decides the first two are the same, whereas it is more probable the two Woburn couples are the same, especially due to the mention of an unidentified "James Richardson" in some of the probate records (could this be Person:James Richardson (68)?) In regards to this couple, this page follows Vinton in identifying the father as Phineas, but Vinton gave no justification, and it appears to be based on process of elimination. Since he appears to be confused on the others, the process of elimination may be flawed, and the son of Phineas b. 1729 may not necessarily be the man who d. 1773 having widow Hannah and one known heir Ruhamah (since the estate was insolvent, non-minors heirs might not have been mentioned). Probably, though, he is the son of Phineas, and it seems likely that he may be the James who married Hannah Reed, and that the above-mentioned Hannah Unknown and Hannah Reed are the same person.
