- Hannah Magdalene Reynolds was daughter of James and Susannah (Troutt) Reynolds. James Reynolds, b. bet. 1764 - 1767 in VA, d. January 18, 1826, near Flat Creek, Knox Co., TN, m. Susannah Troutt on May 31, 1799, at Fincastle, Botetourt Co., VA. Susannah was b. abt. 1777, prob. in Botetourt Co., VA, d. Oct 1828 near Flat Creek, Knox Co., TN. Hannah Reynolds had sixbrothers and two sisters. James Reynolds was s/o John Reynolds and Magdalene (Thomas) Reynolds of Botetourt Co., VA. His family came from Essex/Caroline Co., VA. Susannah Troutt was d/o Jacob Trout/Troutt and Barbara Price(?) of Botetourt Co., VA. Her family came from Lancaster Co., PA, by way of Augusta Co., VA. All the children of James and Susannah (Susan) Reynolds had removed from Tennessee by 1835 into Indiana and Illinois. Some of the children of Jacob and Barbara Troutt remained in TN. One of their sons, John Troutt, accompanied Jacob Reynolds, one of James Reynolds' sons, into Jefferson Co., IL, prior to 1830.
