- Will of James Pugh, dated 14 Feb 1810, proved in May court session, 1810.
- Wife Jane, and children; Jenny and Jesse E. Also, names brothers, Thomas Pugh, John Pugh, and sister Penninah (Pugh) Walker.
- Executors were wife Jane Pugh, and "trusty friend" Jacob Pugh.
