 In the 1860 census for Crabapple, Iroquois Co., Illinois, Crawford Pugh is 26 (farmer?) from Indiana, with Mary H. 25 Ohio, William A. 5, Empson 3 (male), and Amzett 5 months (female) -- all born Illinois.  They are next to Mary's father Rennselaer Adsit. {p. 245 / roll 186 HeritageQuest} On their other side is Washington and Nancy Pugh.
 In the 1870 census for Iroquois Co., Illinois, Jas. C. Pugh is 37, farmer from Indiana; with Mary E. 36 'house keeper' Ohio; William 15 IL; and Delbert 10 months, born Aug in IL.  Thomas Guest, 26 Maryland, is a farm laborer. {p. 8/ 457 roll 231 HeritageQuest} NOTE: They are one household away from Spencer and Olive Shankland. 
 In the 1880 census for Ambia, Benton Co., Indiana, James H. Pugh is 47 born Indiana (father Tennessee, mother Ohio), blacksmith; with wife Mary E. 46 Ohio (father New York, mother OH); and children Delbert 10, Clifford 8, and Murtle 3 -- all born Illinois. {Page 337B}
 In the 1900 census, Clifford is in Yamhill Co., Oregon; Delbert is serving on a ship in the Phillipines; William is living in Benton Co. Illinois with his family; and Mary is with daughter Myrtle and her husband Isaac Stuart in Thayer Co., Nebraska.
 In the 1910 census, William A. Pugh is in Thayer Co., Nebraska; Clifford is in Polk Co., Oregon; Mary is with daughter Myrtle and family in Republic Co., Kansas.
 In the 1920 census, there is a 'Dalbert A. Pugh' 50 IN (father IN, mother OH) in Hammond, Lake Co., Indiana with wife.
