Pg 64: "James Plowman, b. 1786, son of Thomas Plowman and Jane Jackson (see p. 61), m Ellen, daughter of Eusebius and Anne McGillicuddy of Tralee. The marriage settlement dated 10th February, 1807, is preserved in Dublin. "He was commissioned Lieutenant in the Carlow Regiment of Militia and in the course of his military duties was stationed at Tralee. He died a few years later, while stationed in Donegal. His tombstone, in the ancient churchyard of Kilbarron, Co. Donegal, bears the following inscription:
Lieutenant James Plowman of the Carlow
Regiment of Militia, who died the 23rd April,
1814, aged 26 years.
Much regretted by his brother officers, by
whom the stone has been erected as a
testimony of their regard for his memory.

There were three children of the marriage: Eusebius, Richard and James."
