17 Oct 1788 New York My dear Brother, (Mr. JAMES NOURSE) Mr. GEORGE JAMES having settled the business in which I was Indebted (?) with him much to my satisfaction. Nothing more remains but for me to give a Deed for the four hundred acres on Nolin, the Execution where of I do her by authorize you to make and by those presents do for the purpose appoing you my attorney and here by ratify and confirm such deed of Conveyance to be made performable to each assignment as may be on a Certain bond given by me to GEORGE JAMES in 1784 to convey the same under a penalty of 500 pounds whereupon have made such conveyance by release of ....
