m. 1741
Facts and Events
With William's birth dated 1741, this James is born about or before 1720. In the entry that follows, if Wm. Gibson prepares his will in his thirties & subsequently dies with no additional wills, this James Meredith would be in the same generation as Wm. Gibson & his wife Judith Meredith along with brother John. However, if Wm. Gibson is preparing this will in his fifties, there is another generation of Merediths to insert in the tree. Given four named children of Wm. & Judith, odds are good that Wm. is in his thirties. The entry: Lancaster Co., (VA) will extracts, by Ida J. Lee The 6 Mar 1752 will of Wm. Gibson names wife: JUDITH MEREDITH; sons: John and Wm. Gibson, Daus. Sally & Judy. Father-in-law John Meredith & his two sonsJohn & Jas.
