James Marr, known as "Daddy Marr", was a long-serving harbourmaster in the town of North Berwick, just east of Edinburgh, Scotland. he was born into a long line of fishermen, who had lived in North Berwick for two hundred years.

When he died, aged 97, he held the record as the oldest harbourmaster in the British Isles, a record that is thought to still be held today.
