Obit from The Orillia Packet and Times; 27 December, 1945:

"For nearly half a century in the livery business in Beaverton, Mr. James Lytle died at his home in Beaverton on Sunday, December 16, in his 82 nd year.

Although suffering from an infection in his foot for a couple of years, Mr. Lytle was in otherwise good health until Thursday, December 13, wh en he suffered a stroke of paralysis from which he died on Sunday, the 16th.

He was a great lover of horses and even when the automobile supplanted the horse as a means of livery, he continued to keep a string of horses in his stables, raising several excellent race horses which gave an excellent account of themselves on Toronto and other tracks..

He leaves a large family of sons and daughters: Sister Mary Winnifred, R. S. M., of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Sister Mary Andrew, R. S. M.(Marion), of Bay City, Michigan, Mrs. Walter Drollinger (Clara), of Detroit, Michigan,...Mrs. F. Bawden (Stella) of Toronto, Reta, Lorne and Russell at home.

Requiem mass was celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, Beaverton. Internment was made in St. Joseph's Cem., Thorah."
