James Harvey Love son of Richard Love (1768-1842) and Elizabeth (not related) Love married 1828 in to Sarah Brown daughter of Joseph (Welsh) Brown and Nancy Roberts. James and Sarah had seven children: William Richard Love, Joseph Edwin Love, Edward Lee Love, Frances Isabella Love, Sarah Adline Love, Nancy Elizabeth Love, and Mary E. Love. James Harvey Love and his brother William relocated to Choctaw County, MS in January 1843. The two families traveled in carryalls and wagons, camping each night. Counting family members and slaves, the party numbered around fifty people. The trip lasted four weeks. Joseph Edwinage 11 years at the time later recalled a powerful thunderstorm in Starksville, MS where they had camped for the night. A bolt of lightening struck the steeple of the Baptist Church causing much destruction. References to this journey are written in Goodspeed's MS Vol. I page 1150. References
