James I. Laughner, age 85, of Erie, passed away Friday, October 14, 2016, at UPMC Hamot.
James was born in Pittsburgh, on April 23, 1931, the son of the late James Clark and Ada Sarver Laughner.
James served in the United States Airforce during the Koran War. He received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He worked as a mechanical engineer for American Sterilizer and later founded Kinetic Biomedical Services Inc. in 1988, retiring in 2001.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Paul F. Laughner.
Survivors include his was of 64 years, Jean Laughner; his two daughters, Lynn A. Collins and her husband Arthur and Jennifer L. Laughner; his two sons, James T. Laughner and Gene F.
