16 Sep 2006: James E. Krumrine, 78, entered into God's eternal care Thursday, September 14, 2006, at Hanover Hospital. He was the loving husband of Mary Ann (Thielen) Krumrine, to whom he was married for 58 years. Born October 20, 1927, in Hanover, he was the son of the late Harry and Elsie (Forsythe) Krumrine and the stepson of the late Bernice (Raab) Krumrine. James was a 1945 graduate of Eichelberger High School. He served in the US Army Air Corps. during and after WWII. Mr. Krumrine retired after 35 years of service from Hanover Post Office where he was employed as a letter carrier. Prior to that, he worked for Hanover Shoe Company. James was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover. He was an avid bowler and card player. Mr. Krumrine enjoyed participating in the Dart League at Homewood at Plum Creek Nursing Center. He also enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchilren. James spent a great deal of time traveling and watching them participate in various sporting events. In addition to his wife Mary Ann, James is survived by one son, Gary E. Krumrine of York; two daughters, Eileen T. Smith, and Patricia A. Clabaugh, both of Hanover; seven grandchildren, Bradley E. Krumrine of York, Meggan A. Clancy of Mt. Wolf, Courtney M. Boyer of East Berlin, Kristen A. DiLuca and Jordan E. Smith, both of Dover, Carrie L. Clabaugh and Katie A. Clabaugh, both of Hanover; and five great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, September 18, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hanover, Father Joseph F. Gotwalt as celebrant.
