Land Records

James Key, a blacksmith, recorded a land grant in 1751 in the southwest corner of Carteret Co., NC on White Oak River and Houston Creek in what is now the Croatian National Forest. Land Grant is dated November 16, 1751. He is thought to have immigrated from Cardiff, South Wales to the New England states in 1748.
