• Initially settled in Rhode Island? about 1683, where he married Sarah Dungan, daughter of the Rev. Thomas Dungan.
• James Carrell settled in Bucks county about 1700.
• Acquired 100acres in Southampton in 1704 living there until his death about 1730.
• Purchased a tract of land in Warminister from brotherinlaws Thomas and Clement Dungan in 1711
• family traditions identify him as a weaver, in Philadelphia, where he wove linen and linsey-woolsey.

Benjamin, died 1733;

Elizabeth, =Samuel GILBERT of Warminster;

Sarah, =Silas McCARTY;

Lydia,= Robert TOMPKINS, of Warminster, later of Warrington, Bucks county;
