Keffer
James Russel Keffer, age 64, of Gallipolis, OH, died Friday, November 30,
2001, at his residence. He was born on April 13, 1937 in Racine, WV to the
late Shafter C. Keffer and the late Eunice F. McCormick Keffer. In addition
to his parents he is preceded by his former wife Joyce Haydock Keffer and a
sister Maxine Keffer. He was a graduate of Rio Grande High School. He
served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a
Machinist and retired from National Electric Coil Company in Columbus, OH.
Survived by 2 sons, Wayne R. (Tammi) Keffer, Bremerton, Wash. and Gregg A.
Keffer of Bremerton, Wash.; 3 grandchildren, Hunter, Sierra and Hudson Keffer
of Bremerton, Wash.; 4 sisters, Mary L. (Ray) Wood of Grove City, OH; Jewell
Hall of St. Albans WV; Jean Kelly of Bradenton FL; Jacqueline Wickline of
Auburndale, Fla.; many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted
on Wednesday, December 5, 2001 at Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home, 810 Second
Ave., Gallipolis, OH at 11 a.m. with Pastor Pat King officiating. Burial
will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on
Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. Military Honors will be presented at the graveside by
the Gallia County Veterans organizations.
