    In 1850 McIntosh County Census city of Darien shows James V. Jones, 46 born in South Carolina, Naomi, 30, Mary C. 13, James V. 7, Elizabeth 5, Emmer C. 2.
    In 1854 there was a severe yellow fever scourge, thecity of Darien being the hardest hit. What became of James V. Jones, Mary C., James V. and Elizabeth Jones?
    The 1860 census of McIntosh County Naomi C. is married toMoses H. Thompson bringing into the Thompson marriage Emmer C. now 12 and 2 other children. Miles C. and Alice (8). Twins Harriet Baker and Edwawrd Baker Thompson (2). Civil War 1861, Darien burned and families moved inland or the The Ridge. Unable to locate Jones family in 1870.
    Naomi C. Thompson who was Jameas V. Jones wife before she married Moses H. Thompson is on the Thompson lot "Naomi C. wife of M.H. Thompson" died  November 10, 1887 in her 68th year. Based on the ages of her children she probably was 18 or 19 at the time of her marriage to James V. Jones.
