James' obituary was found on his Find-a-Grave memorial page and copied here. It was first published in The Parkersburg Sentinel, Friday, 23 January 1925, pg. 9 : "James E. Jackson, thirty-seven years old, died at the St. Joseph hospital at 9:15 o'clock this morning. Death followed an operation performed Thursday evening a short time after he entered the hospital. The deceased is survived by his mother, Mrs. Lucy Jackson, and the following brothers and sisters: John H. Jackson; Stonewall Jackson; Mrs. Fannie F. Bailey; Mrs. Esther Hall, of Weston; Mrs. Maggie Ross, of Akron; Mrs. Lydia Drain; Mrs. Anna Duskey, and Miss Lily Jackson of Weston. The deceased resided at 1347 Seventh street. Funeral services will be held from the home at three o'clock Sunday afternoon and interment will be made in the Davisville cemetery. Services will be conducted by Rev. J.L. West."
