James M. Jackson, P. O., Gilliam. Son of William and Margaret Jackson. Was born in Howard county, Missouri, December 14, 1831, and was married on the 14th of February, 1861, to -------. They have five children, born as follows: Lillian, born June 10, 1863; Robert E. Lee, born April 19, 1866; Eva May, born May 14, 1868; Martha C., born November 5, 1870; Sallie P., born October 12, 1878. Mr. Jackson moved to Saline county in 1874, and purchased the splendid farm on which he now resides, and has since lived in this county. Before his marriage he sold groceries in Glasgow; since, he has given his undivided attention to farming and stock-feeding.
