    James P. Green was the son of Wesley and Nancy Lee Donallson Green. He was born at Greenville, Pa., July 22, 1847, and died at the hospital at Vandalia, Ill., Sabbath morning, November 10, 1934 - the last of his father's family. He was married to Miss Susan Maxson March 11, 1869. Their surviving children are John, Clara, George, and Roy. In 1872, Mr. Green became a member of the Seventh Day Baptist Church and was, with his wife, a regular attendant at the services. All his twenty-four grandchildren with one exception are members of the same church. There are also thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at his farm home Monday, November 12, 1934, by Rev. C. L. Hill, and burial was made in the Farina Cemetery.
