Frank Gowin Dies
Frank Gowin, 74 died suddenly Tuesday morning at his home at 712 East Main Street. Mr. Gowin had been in failing helath for a number of years, but his sudden death was unexpected.
He had been active in Odd Fellows work and several years ago was awarded a 25 year membership pin. He also had been a devoted follower of Olney high school athletics for a number of years.
He is survived by his wife, Nina , two brothers, Alex, of Ottowa, and John of Bridgeport, and two sisters Mrs. Ora Allen, of Decatur, and Mrs Emma Ham of Monticello.
The body was removed to the Olney Funeral Home and services will be conducted this Thursday afternoon from the Congregational-Christian church. Rev. Carey Christy officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill.
