Cole, James - born 9/5/1755 in Bedford County, Virginia; family in 1756 moved to Anson County (area now Richmond County), North Carolina. where soldier entered service in 1776; granted Pension 1832 in Carroll County, Tennessee; affidavit 1833 in Robertson County, Tennessee by brother Stephen who was born 5/16/1760 in Anson County, North Carolina, also a Revolutionary War Soldier. R604.
