Obit: “James Preston Clary, 72, son of the late Shuman L. and Mattie Allison Clary, died Friday, July 6, 2001.

Mr. Clary was a former resident of Pacolet, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and was retired from Greenville Sheet Metal. He was a member of White Plains Baptist Church, Gaffney.

Surviving are daughters, Barbara Gregory of Pacolet, Jane Melton of Mayo, and Susan Dunaway of Greer; brothers, Louis E. Clary and Doyle L. Clary, both of Greenville; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a sister, Frances C. Hamilton; and a brother, J.D. Clary.

A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Graceland Cemetery, West.

Visitation: 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.

Family members are at their respective homes.
