23 Apr 1781: James Butler of Lancaster Yeoman for £80 conveys to Simon Butler of Lancaster Husbandman 38 acres in Lancaster with building the whole of the place where the said James now dwells. Acknowledged by witnesses first Tuesday Sep 1784, that the said James Butler is since Dead.

  4. 1737 seems somewhat late for James to marry, and apparently caused Source:Rook, Albert Wilmot. Butler Family to assume this James married Hannah Wilson, which is shown to be incorrect by this James' father's will. But given the uncertainty over when he was actually born (see notes attached to baptism), and that his brother Isaac married Deborah's sister Sarah, and no conflicts have been found, it seems likely it was him. But there is a possibility, if births were not recorded, that a generation has been missed.
